When the International World Schools Debating stuff is going down here, all these young debaters have to stay somewhere on campus and the uni will pay you a fair amount of money if you let someone stay at your place. I wonder if it adds up, if I could just store all these kids in my kitchen and earn double my rent for this month.

Seeing the weather outside is still crap, I use my skateboard to move from my bedroom to the kitchen and back. A quick and efficient way of transportation, with a bonus challenge: getting over the doorstep without making a faceplant.

I had to give a presentation for my SCI241 class last week, and being me, I stayed up until 3AM the evening before to prepare everything. This, kids, let me teach you, backfires. Tiredness caused me to mumble and struggle as I tried to find my words that were part of the beautiful presentation. I gave up, eventually, and re-explained everything while drawing it on the whiteboard. So much for PowerPoints.

It amazes me every day, but this very 241 class is the one I’m performing best in this semester. After finishing every paper, I have no clue if I used the right calculations or not, as the instructions for the course are pure chaos, but I keep surprising myself. So either this really is my thing, or the professors are being lax.

The perks of living on the third floor – you have the best overview of what’s happening outside. Some old lady just got arrested by two police officers; pedestrians almost get hit by cars in the sharp turn; birds fly low and take shits on parked cars. Life is exciting.

I am using this locus on the internet for the following message: Happy birthday, Han! May the force be with you for many more years. Also, I’ll make you amazing pancakes.

Three more weeks until revision week, and then two more filled with exams, final papers and other inconvenient deadlines! Time to get started on stuff that involves Forchheimer equations, which is basically Navier without turbulence, if I were to believe my notes. The point with these equations is that they’re always based on a situation where some force is left out, which is actually present in practice. We do nothing but approximate!

Fine, enough.

Edit: I just found something awesome. Want to take a roadtrip in your own room using Google Street View? Some clever guys made this website: http://hyperlapse.tllabs.io which will amaze you. Set your trip and lean back!
